Morning,

The elements out of my 606 IP will be being swapped into my 603 IP in the next few weeks. That will end up back onto the 606 engine, which will end up in my W126.

What's the best turbo for that setup? I've seen that the K14 is very restrictive, and I imagine that a HX35 will be too big. Someone had mentioned a GT32?

Thanks

or could i get a local turbo shop to upgrade my K14?

Have you looked into the HY35? Might hold promise...

See, it's like this: I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express the other night, but there wasn't much "researching" going on in that room at all. So just don't hold me to that exact model. Might be a HS35 or a HP35 or a HX35something something.

Do report back please, I've got same pump setup, but on 603.

O, and dump the upgrade idea. Your money is better spent on appropriate turbo.

i was thinking that one of the holset turbos would be just too much turbo for the amount of fuel that the 6.0mm elements will put out.

I'm sure they have models sized for that amount of fuel. IIRC, their site is also pretty informative with the maps and whatnot, so tracking down the appropriate turbo is that much easier.

Far from an expert but I would say a 35 is too big for 6mm elements. Don't think it will do any harm but it is way beyond what your elements can fuel. If your looking to upgrade the elements it might be worth doing. If your not going any further then maybe an HX30 or an HE221W.
You dont say what your pump is set at either, there is a fair difference between stock 6mm and maxed 6mm.

I agree with mark, the hx35 or hy35 won't spool until late in the rpms.

I would get ahold of Alcaid on here, I think his super hx30 would be very good

so an HX30 is the consensus?

The pump isn't set yet - it's being done in the next few weeks by a local bosch guy - he's just waiting for me to take if off the old engine

Mitsubishi TD04HL19T#7 would work good with that setup!!! Even the 16T would work.

That goes to both the om605 and om603 engines.
