722.4 series just isn't advisable, it is probably the weekest box they made, it's not just the internals that are weak, it's the casing, it doesn't take much to blow one up, the om603 had a 722.358 behind it, if you want a fully hydraulic auto box that can handle a bit of power you're better off with a 722.3, or you can go for a 722.6 with a controller.

(08-07-2014, 11:04 AM)aaa If you are willing to take them apart, why would you be stuck with a tall first gear in the 722.3? I am sure there were versions of it with a shorter first gear.
