Got my M pump back from DieselMeken and I am looking for ways to make more power. I already have a ebay GT30R and big FMIC. Right now the max I can make is 20psi but I think its because of my super quiet restrictive exhaust...or ebay turbo. My fueling is 160cc right now and it have some black smoke out the tail pipe under boost. Is it advisable to drill out the prechambers? What about adding a degree of timing?

What Engine is it? is the turbo wastegated? seems like thats what the waste gate is set at.. Exhaust isnt really gonna restrict boost too much, is exhaust stock? make sure theres no leaks, 160cc is alot of fuel

Wastegate line not attached and its an OM 603. Yes exhaust is stock other then downpipe and added a flowmaster muffler instead of stock rear muffler.

Ye something isnt right. Is your transmission stock auto? Could be slipping and not putting enough load on engine. I have a little different setup (hx35 turbo with about 100cc of fuel) runs pretty damn good. It also has just a down pipe on it now (4")

larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?

I have a blow off at 30psi for now. The wastegate is welded shut on mine, but yea my truck has a china ebay turbo on it and I dont get boost like I should, so thats probly the reason. My Benz has a good holset. And yes the timing procedure is different than stock, ususally around 20 degrees before tdc... but if its running smooth with no white smoke and has some black smoke (not too much) its probly close Smile but check it!

Yeah I did set timing per mb spec of 15atdc but I was more on the conservative side of having that pin centered. Maybe I will make sure its centered then. I am not saying my car is slow either. It may be fast I just want to do what ever I can to make it faster being that its the slowest car in my garage.

Try removing the exhaust completely, leave the downpipe on if you want. If the car wakes up you've found your problem Wink

Get that turbo situation taken care of first. If you are only making 20psi of boost, that doesn't seem like enough.

If it's still blowing black smoke under boost, then you don't have enough boost..

Already got all the parts to make a full exhaust. Tried to make it during work but couldnt find the time. Should have it completed this weekend. What are people using for manifolds? Stock or are people make custom ones?

The stock cas manifolds aren't that great, but they're not horrible either. Grab a plate of steel, a sharpie, and get cutting Smile
