I found a complete 1968 300sel 6.3 at the junk yard the car is junk but the engine transmission and rear diff are there. It doesn't look like its been run in 15-20 years I'm thinking about grabbing as much of it as I can for my 1964 220s sedan to build an all Mercedes hot rod Huh or maybe it worth grabbing to resell it Huh

also I did this in photo shop I left the wheel base and roof alone I just lengthened the front door and shortened the rear door and moved the B piller back what do you think about the proportions

a) what?! for any part that's not junk, check its price on ebay to see if you should pull it. they are notoriously the most expensive model to maintain.

b) the modded coupe looks great, i like the pinstripe.

I just grabbed the engine and transmission today $500 however the car looks like it went through a flood so ill have to check it and see if it is sized up or not i figured out a pair of exhaust manifold is worth about the cost of the engine. i may just sell it to raise cash my 220s has a rebuilt 6 cylinder in it with 10 miles on it.

The picture was just stolen off the inter webs to see if it was feasible I have a 1964 gray 220s that I thought would be fun to cut up Ian Roussel style and make it into a real 2 door fintail. I just wanted to play with the proportions before I start cutting.

Nice snag! I don't see how you could lose $ on that!

What'd they want for the whole car? I'll bet there's still some rare parts/pieces left for scavangers!
