OM602 pump on an OM605
OM602 pump on an OM605
Gentlemen... Need a little advice regarding the pump on my 605.
Basically I'm going to use the OM602 pump on the 605. It all bolts up no worries... However, I'm worried about the elements... Should I get the pumps rebuilt with the 605 6mm elements or can I run the 602 5mm elements? Will there be a significant drop in power?
Looking to get the engine in the car and running before I think about a bigger turbo or sending the pump to dieselmeken for crazy power!

You will have to pay the hefty fit and ballance fee a second time if you get the 5/6mm elements fitted then get bigger ones fitted at a later date.
Basically you get big elements fitted first time then adjust the max fuel down for normal power until you fit bigger turbo etc in the future.
