Hi,

MW IP:

the SS-tube is 58mm long, thread M10x1
The SS-screw is 70mm long and has to be welded in instead of the original short screw of the rack limiter.
The M10x1 fixing nut has a little pocket for an o-ring towards the cover.
The cover has a bore (on the correct position)Big Grin
Even the first attempt with a flat silicone gasket towards the cover was not leaking but to be sure I added the o-ring on my second.

Up to now no need for that. I am not operating the engine >4500 rpm and I have no idea (up to now) how are the influences on i.e. idle return and other depending settings. The MW governor is only in action for idle stabilisation and high rpm cut off. The mid range is driver controlled.

What I want to know is how the hell did you fit the rack limiter back in with that extra length? Cool idea anyway, good job.

'78 300D, OM617.912: 4spd manual, TB03 at 10PSI, 26*BTDC, DV's turned, HVAC, emissions system removed, e-fan, short ram, 3" downpipe to straight exhaust, W126 Bendix brakes, MR2 Spyder seats. 2890lbs

believe it or not but I installed it with the IP in the car, oil filter housing at its place. Just the top cover of the governor was off. And then you don't have to be in a hurry.
It is similar to the "rack limiter removal" job.

Nah, if my sausages can remove the rack limiter with the filter in place anyone can do it.
