Hi Kennobi 75,

there´s a lad in northern germany, who told me he drove his 300tdt w124 with bigger self-made pump, manifold and exhaust (I´m not sure about turbo …). He told me he had 300 hp and drove his originally mounted stock-auto-gearbox 85k miles until he had to swap it for a manual. I consider him as reliable person. And by the way he  works as machine-engineer ….

My personal opinion:
Just back off from throttle when auto box starts to shift and do not hall ass again before new gear fully entered.

No burn outs ...

I would consider a 50 k with 300 hp realistic any way with the stock gearbox and stock technique of the car if you´re not always racing … Wink

do a google of turbobanditens 4matic builds, the system should be able to sustain quite a lot i think with modifications.

got a 300tdt 4matic w124 from 1992 myself that might need a better pump someday, so post any progress!

(03-16-2015, 06:10 PM)Kennobi75 How much power can My 4matic system handle ??

My understanding is that the front diff/sump arrangement & possibly the transfer case were pretty fragile in the 4matic set up.
