just bought one, and the previous owner jacked up the fuel system
with a botched WVO system install.. anyway in the process of ripping it out and setting it back to stock, I seem to have forgotten which line is the fuel supply from the tank and the return back to the tank

I THINK its top line=feed bottom line=return

anybody know offhand ? or can go have a look see real quick ?
diving into service manuals now......

its a 1990 350SDL (gen 2)

just so the information is out here for the next guy..

for a W126 Gen 2 body
specifically a 1990 350 SDL, the innermost line coming out of the tank is the feed
( if you pull back the rubber grommet its the one that has the screen filter and the large 24mm nut ) that line winds up being the LOWER line in the engine compartment.
