I've got a Lardcruiser with a mercedes diesel swap in progress. Glacial progress. I would love to use a 722.6 trans but I don't know what transfer case to use. The g-wagens of course have robust cases but they are insanely expensive. Does anyone know of a readily available, tough case that I can use? Anybody making adapters? I'm not opposed to electric shift.

If you're looking for a bolt up xfercase, you may be out of luck.
New Process made a super strong and heavy NP205 in married (bolt onto trans) and divorced (can be used on anything with correct shafts and custom crossmember)
Ford F250 from '72-'77 use drivers side offset
International/Dodge (similar era) use passenger side offset.
They've become difficult to find but good deals are still out there!

What do you want it to do? 2 speed, 4wd, Awd?? Which side do you want or need the front shaft to come out? Driver's or passengers?
Bolt up configurations you of course have Mercedes transfer cases. THe suvs ones and the sedans. You also have Chrysler transfer cases for their version. There is the Cherokee one but also the one in the JEEP, Jeeps. Those have high/low. Or if you are going to go with a detached unit then what ever you want.

My WB is only 98" so only room for married. My front drive shaft is longer than the rear as it is. This has to be a high and low range 4x4 with passenger side front shaft. I see the Mopar stuff is driver's side. I wonder if it's possible to rotate.

Dana 18 or 20. Novak makes a divorced adapter kit for it. The 18 has both right side output, 20 has center out in the rear, right side for front. Pretty good aftermarket support, and pretty strong. not as much as the 205 but a lot lighter.

Just saw you want a married, if dodge's 722.6 used the standard 6 bolt round pattern then u can use a lot as long as its got the same size and spline shaft. That'd give you a lot of options. Jeep made a diesel grand cherokee from 2002-2005(not in the us??) that used a mercedes crd-5 engine, and im guessing this is best option, can't seem to find what transfer case's the diesel's used but if its the same as the 6's or 8's then its the standard 6 bolt and i think the early passenger drop jeep case will bolt-on. not sure about this though.

*must have been out of it wen i posted this... the earlier jeeps are drivers drop too, sorry....
