Hi

I have a G wagon (W460) with an OM617a engine.
Now I want more power in it. My aim would be 200hp.

I have never performance tuned an engine before, so this is all new to me, and I hope you Guys will help me with adviced.

I have been reading quite alot on this forum to get some knowledge.

As I could understand I need to purchase an injection pump from a W124 250D.
Send it to Dieselmeken and let him do his magic.

And then I should be able to get around 200hp.

Is this the right procedure?

Yes you need to upgrade the pump but the W124 250D pump won't fit !! You need a W123 300D injection pump.
Or you can send the pump you already have on the engine but on that type of pump Dieselmeken can't install external adjustment, he can set it up but it will be harder for you to fine tune it later if you ever need that.
You also need to fit an intercooler and a bigger turbocharger.

I could understand that I need a M-pump.

Which models run with this M-pump?

I thought the W123 ran with MW pumps.

Hi Baumann,

I have a w460 with the same engine.

Removed the pump from old engine (OM617) mpump bougth dieselmeken elements and sent to barrote.

Now its runs nice, need to install intercooler and a better turbo, already in stock (GT22v).

Even with the stock turbo its not possible to compare with the old performace...

Good luck and dont forget to install EGT gauge.

Hi

I already have EGT.
Any idea how many hp you have in you G with stock turbo and no intercooler?

Does the M pump fit right on or do I need to modify anything?

If you have an MW pump now, you will need other injector lines when switching to the M pump.

You can send the MW pump to dieselmeken and he will rebuild it with 8mm elements and 120cc fuel per element per 1000 injector cycles. That is more fuel than you can burn well without a pressure ratio of 4:1 and great intercooling.

Last I checked (yesterday) Goran/Dieselmeken shelved the MW pump project for now. Am I mistaken on this? I don't think a sigle person here has one of his MW pumps.

I cant tell you for dure but in my dynobut 160, the torque is very good.
The stock turbo runs good but my wastegate doesnt work so after 3500 rpm the turbo can't handle so much gas.

The M pump is plus and play, just need to put a m8x1mm screw in the engine to close the oil feed to mw pump.
I have changed the lines too.

In Portugal is very easy to find a Mpump.

Its an easy way and a great upgrade in a Gwagon.

He just turned my mw up to 62cc. Did you actually ask him to do 8mm elements in an mw and send him a pump?

I've been asking for the MW pump with the custom elements he has been working on (8mm I believe). Please please if there is something, anything he can do to my MW pump please please let me know what to ask for or say to him to request it and how to go about doing it.

Well 62cc is only 20% more fuel, but it is something. 20% of 120mph is like 22hp. You should be able to get that with the Garrett if the wastegate is set higher.
