Are there any other converter that fits the om606 besides the on from the om606 transmission?


Also if someone could compare Some partnumbers to se IF the oildipsticktube are the same on all the 722.6 transmissions.

epc says that a converter from M111, M104, OM605, OM604, OM612 and OM613 interchange

Tubes are different depending on model and engine....not sure what you need to know?

Well i bought a transmission from a W210 320cdi i Think IT was 722.626 but it came without the dipsticktube. Im going to use it in My s124 and i was wondering what Tube i should snag to make it fit in my s124. Maby they all fits just different shapes, the length should be the same? Because the eBay dipsticks only says "for the 722.6" gearbox no what type?

The local skrapyard has a s210 1998 240 V6 with an automatic maby that tube will fit? What engine number is the V6?

The 722.6xx didn't come with dipsticks. There is a manual out there to build your own dipstick, or order one from ebay.

Yes I do know that, I was just thinking that the dipsticktubes may be the same length just different shapes as the eBay dipsticks appear to be the same length for all the 722.6 gearboxes.

The tube length is immaterial though. The reading of the dipstick is taken by the little triangle of plastic stopping on a restriction inside the gearbox. The factory/workshop dipper being at least 300mm longer than the tube. Don't be mistaken into thinking a length of curtain rod will do the same job. The factory dipstick actually does not hit the bottom of the gearbox sump and anything you make that does that will give you a false reading. I know this to be fact because when I did a fluid change on my S211 I inserted the factory stick and measured it to be approx 10mm short of the depth needed to bottom out if the sump had been in place. Sealey make a replica stick. http://www.sealey.co.uk/PLPageBuilder.as...ctid=14187

How does the factory dipstick not hit the bottom of the sump if it's 300mm longer than needed? I bought a dipstick from ebay that was supposed to be for the job but it's close to impossible to know if I read at the correct spot as I'm having a hard time registering when I hit the bottom and it flexes off to one of the sides. I belive I'm at the right spot now but I hate to belive I like to know so I'm tempted to get the factory one if it's any different.

Because the measurement is determined by the little plastic diamond in the above pic stopping on an obstruction where the tube enters the box. If you have the sump off and push the stick down it still won't go any further in and there is 300mm of the flexible bit sticking out the top no matter how hard you push. If it relied for measurement on hitting the sump base it would have to be stronger as the present black plastic bit is too flexible and would fold over on contact and give a way wrong reading.
It's that long because the same stick is used over the whole range of cars and none of them have the same length tube. The factory stick is a universal tool.  

So it wouldn't matter if the stick was 3Km long  Big Grin
