Engine misfires badly around 3000. I thought it was due to not having an intake manifold but I've finished that up. Still same. Checked pump timing and inlet pressure, cam timing and all the usual stuff. Think it may be the advancer over advancing to early, though that seems a bit far fetched.

2.7 Bar, staying steady. Lots of black smoke however .

Could it just not be warm enough to handle all that fuel yet. Does seem odd though.

87 300SDL OM606 swapped HE351VE 722.633 swapped, Crower cams, KM valvesprings
76 300TD custom lots of stuff

Naw. Hot cold, driving, boost...nothing seems to make a difference

If you hold it steady will it clean up after a bit? What about higher rpms?

No, if you gently approach 3000 -/+ 500 its starts to break up. IF WOT it just brake up more (as in the video)

I would think injector issues but it start great and idles smoothly, no smoke or drama.

I'm going to pull the injection pump timer and take a look

Well it is either the pump or the advance mech. Do you have one of those pulse testers for hooking up to the injection line. You can do live timing check with them. Super handy. A friend of mine had one years ago.
I have had adv. mech fail and cause similar issues.
