Hi, I have a E 300 TD Turbo, OM603A, newly overhauled with 420 000 km on the odometer.

It starts like a dream cold, but I have to hold the key in start 5-10 seconds at hot engine. irritating.

The engine runs well, nice idle, but is rattling a bit.

Any ideas, nozzles, delivery valves, anything.
It`s a small problem, but irritating as hell :-)

Thanks for answers

Check for wetness around the delivery valves, any bubbles flowing through the primary filter (1 stationary bubble is normal) and sweating hoses at the fuel tank connections.

Pump absolutely dry, no air bubbles now, got trouble with it not long ago, was primary filter clogged, had a leak in return near tank, but fixed it yeasterday.
primary/feeding pump is changed(from 602N/A).
