(06-22-2016, 07:23 AM)TurboTim Does it shift when you use it?

yes, but a bit scary because that short shiftingrod is located right above the driveshaft! Need to make a proper shifting mechanisme, then it will be goodBig Grin

maybe some kind of cable shift mechanism so the lever is by the driver

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.
[i]Less rust..

But it would skip the Problem s ur on and contain by using oles controller spoolin a vtg turbo to plane fester. Easy to shift and easy to drive back.Smile

Time for an updateSmile

Tried the boat some this summer, have worked alright but had to remove the two stage turbo system!

First i made a turbo shut off valve for safety:

After the "small crash" i managed to rip off the fixing mounts on the steering box, so this was replaced:

Have had some problems this summer...The worst was that it was eating glowplugs for lunch, had to replace several after each tripSad
After some testing and a watchman that could watch the engine under full load it was discovered...Houston, we have a problem!
[Image: Screenshot_2016-08-31-22-14-48_zps0iw1ju7x.png]

Since the problem had to be around the turbo setup and it was to complicated/time consuming to fine tune the system, i replaced it all with an Holset he351 with 12cm housing! This works fine and spool up is good, so will leave this in there since it is not easy to have that much going one behind your back when driving this boatBig Grin

With the new propeller i only running in 3rd gear and it pulls out to about 6600rpmBig Grin It does about 100km/h (54knots) in this gear and rpm, so it will be fun to see what it will do in 4th and 5th!!!

Stay tuned as the summer and testing is not over yet here in Norway!
