Hey guys, im currently cutting an video but i really need some better street conditon, when its wet its undrivable Big Grin.
At the current fueling @2 Bar i have absolutly no smoke. Im going to unlock in the next few days.

Next Plans for the car:

- Im swaping from 716.604 Gearbox to 716.657 thats from ne new W204 220 CDI Model. It has only one shift arm that raises the compfort. Also its rated @ a higher torque (250 VS 400nm). It has same trasmission ration like my actually box has.
- Im going to rebuild my full front axle. Im using wishbones from the E320 because there is very less space @ my break disk.

After all there will be a Dyno run Smile

To make a good Working Throttle Linkage can be a PITA.

Took me 3 Evenings and 3 Prototypes until i found a working Solution with the Stock "Pedal Feeling".

Looks good man!

Today i installed my fuel pressure gauge. Its already working but i need to change the gauge to an damped one.

Looking forward to do a few testings with an harder prepump spring in the next few days to see at what fueling the stock lift pump is maxed out.

I got the following Values:

0.5 Bar at 700RPM Idle
1 Bar no Load high RPM
0.5 Bar full Load high RPM

I will gonna swich to a modified prepump with more pressure. As counterpart i install a 1.5 bar valve at the rear of the pump. I tell you if i got results.

I also have the idea of swapping to an automatic gearbox. 722.626 or 722.639 from 320 CDI / 400 CDI with oles controller.

Did anyone uses the internal gearbox cooler of the water cooler? What temps did you got?

Nice car and nice video.

Did you get the quick spool you were looking for when switching to hx40? Other people seem to spool at 3000-3500rpm with that turbo.

Soon i will put a self developed fast scroll exhaust mainfold. Its a little bit more than only the design. There where thoughts about special material for high temperatur duty and low friction bearings. I will upload test results in a few weeks.

Compared to the other solutions i saw in the internet you have the perfect flow in all situations. At low load the window is closed and all cylinders fire in one scroll. At high load you have the advantage of an twin scroll mainfold with better gas flow through and no gas whirls.

I think about sell this parts also.

Looks like a nice design, the only reason I don't like those "quick spool" valves is they side load the turbine wheel. I know people that have side loaded a turbine wheel for years and never had problems, and people that do it once and ruin it.

I personally have done it before, and had no issues .

Thats why my concept leads the flow to the croll thats closer to the chra so the leaver of the attatching force is as little as it could be.
I could imagine, if you use the outer scroll it will worn more.

Good idea, I am developing a quick spool valve but more like the normal ones because I can make it for free..

For materials my thoughts were make the housing from SS and the flap from mild, this way as it heats up it will not bind (because SS expands more than steel), so it will get looser as it heats not tighter.

Will it be milled from a billet or fabricated??

Beers.

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.

You could ask those black smoke guys what they used for their exhaust diverted butterfly pivot valve. As I recall the pivot rod bent impressively in the first version.

What flywheel did you mount up the c270 Cdi clutch up to & was it a direct fit?
