Hi,
I am thinking about getting a W124 with ASD to do a performance build.  The car will still be my daily driver but I want it to have some performance capability.  I want to eventually swap the transmission to a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission.  If I take out the stock auto transmission is it going to affect the functionality of the ASD?  I'm new to Mercedes so maybe this is a stupid question  Big Grin

Hi
No, ASD will work as usual. Has nothing to do with the gearbox.
The ASD will lock when ABS detects slip betveen front and rear.
