OM605 / OM606 Block heater (US Spec)
OM605 / OM606 Block heater (US Spec)
Hello
Reading internet tells me all the US spec 605/606 came with a block heater directly under the exhaust manifold, and were not connected unless you request from the dealer for the mains cord to be fitted (free) !
My Euro spec one has a big blanking plug where the block heater would go, presumably optional here.
Can anyone in the US check and see if they have one, or any info of people using it?
I would like to acquire & fit one for myself..

Sultzi, I have a block heater at where I would expect a freeze plug for cylinder #6 to be. It looks very similar to the one in your picture, I'll try to remember to take a picture of it tomorrow.
Anyway, what I would need for it is a cable, or even better, a connector so I can make my own cable. Anyone has an idea where to get one? 3 prongs, I think pretty similar to this picture.
