Almost finished my om613 project.

What engine needs to run -  ecu.  Eis esl  sam1 and  k40 .
Took for a test drive and blew open the Mercedes stock intercooler.
It is in limp mode as I cut away most of the wiring. Limited to 3k rpm but drives very well.
Will post a video tomorrow.

Ecu has been modified and limp mode had been removed. No limp mode, full rev range. Apparently the guy that did the modification set it up to run as a standalone ecu, e.g.  no eis etc needed but I have not tried removing them yet.
goes like stink.

Yes, thats him. He is a genius with ecus and automotive electronics.
Yep I kept everything stock except the alternator. I used the land rover one to keep the rev counter signal.  Also had to move the turbo to clear the steering box. Runs well. Next project is putting one In a w116 keeping the 5 speed auto (will use a standalone controller for this).  Will get the hp increased for that one :-).
Have you done an om613 project?

i actually spoke to him a few weeks ago about a common rail mercedes engine swap ecu he was working, that why i asked.
you can usually tap the alternator windings and add a diode to get a rev signal or is it a separate system on the land rover engine.

no mine is an om606 into a lexus is200 will the usualy bolt on goodies for power.
ive ran it with an e55 amg gearbox and oles controller and it worked well, but definitely needs an external speed input.

Ive seen a w210 stock tcu work with just basic inputs like speed and brake switch once run with a stock engine ecu.
