Hi All,

I have a 190D 2.2, 5mt that would be loads more fun with a turbo.  Also there is a 606na mucking about with full electrics for a donor swap (the whole car actually).

The questions are, do I turbocharge the om601, swap in the 606na to start off, or 606 turbocharged from the get?

What would I need from the donor 606 car to get the engine to run fully with the stock ecu as minimum? The donor is a 96 E300 diesel.  I am also considering Baldur's ems as well.

Thoughts?

There is a post I made explaining what wiring and sensors you need for this stock ECU swap. It is the least time consuming.

Indeed, I did read your thread with keen interest, as it is highly detailed, and very useful as well.

I presume the alternative to the immo delete is a need to use the key of the 96 to start the engine, along with all or nearly all the associated electrics and wiring?  What would a deimmo cost?

Yes you can also swap the key, the das and wire it all in place.
But you also need airflow meter, egr and everything to stop from limp.
Deimmo installed alone is €60 plus postage back of the ECU.

Okay thanks, that's good to be aware of, that if all the bits are transferred, it will work. There is no requirement for the cluster, yes? At least that is what I see from the pinout, but I cannot be sure.

Certainly, it is a lot easier, and less time consumed by the deimmo route, which is reasonable.
