How to get an OM606 to run?
I am swapping om606 from my e300 w124 into gas 190e w201. What is the simplest and most effective way to make it run. Glow plugs, starter, alternator, injection pump needs (gonna order dieselmeken) do the ips need current? Mostly taking electrical. Remember I have full donor car. I'm asking what would you do in my shoes. Thank you I love these cars.
Buldar's ECU would be simplest especially if you don't know a lot about wiring? What are you doing for transmission? That will matter also if you are going AT.

I'm using Baldurs' DSL1. If you want to retain the oe injection pump on the 606, that's the way to go. There are advantages both ways. Dieselmeken mechanical pump is simple but limited. More difficult for throttle and cruise control. Also not good for VNT turbo control if you want to go that route. Biggest advantage of course is no ECU required. Baldurs ecu will talk to aftermarket tcu also via the tps signal wire. Both ways have advantages/disadvantages. Do your homework and research thoroughly. Everything is expensive so do it right and what suits your needs.

I am using the 4 speed auto 722.4. So if i go with a TCM, all I need to attach is the bowden cable and nothing else? Yes, dieselmech pump but my om606 124 na pump has a wire harness attached. That will not be needed either? I will use the stock turbo for now , DPUK said that with the 7.5mm pump it will yield reliable 280hp (should upgrade valve springs) and that's some nice power for now especially in a lighter w201 chassis. Plus I already have the engine with junkyard turbo setup that I was so lucky to find for so cheap, so I may as well see for myself how far the na 606 will go. I removed cruise control and AC already. I honestly dont miss them. Took power steering unit off also but looking at it I don't think I can because if how the tensioner is that I may need the ps or at least keep the pulley as a dummy. Do you suggest me swapping the ignition system on my diesel to the gasser or is there a better way? I really appreciate your input and experience.
