Om606 won´t boost enough
You 1 bar boost guys are funny. You have to make yourself clear diesel engine basics first. You ask and we answer but you don't listen.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE SMOKE THEN YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FUEL. I don't know how many times I have to say that in this thread.
220cc is crazy amount of fuel, for 1 bar boost without smoke you need maybe 60-70cc max BUT YOU GUYS HAVE 220cc PUMPS!!
If it starts and runs fine and NO SMOKE FROM 220cc PUMP then it's nothing to do with timing I can guarantee it to you.
220cc is good for 800+HP, you'll NEVER burn all of that. If fuelling is ok then with HX40 even on full load 3bar boost it should smoke like crazy. You need about 160cc for HX40 and 500hp so extra 60cc from 220cc pump should be just crazy black smoke.
Ok if I understand correctly I don't have enough fuel delivery at high rpm. Cause I sat back and reflected, when the turbo is spooling I don't see black smoke. So my fuels lines might be too obstructed and providing enough psi when review higher. How can I solve this? Bigger electric pump in the tanks?
If you have dieselmeken pump then make sure that ALDA lever is moving when boost pressure is on. There's two screws and it can't be more simple. If you have stock lift pump then I'm not sure how much fuel it can handle but I think it should make over 1bar boost anyway. Better use electric pump with pressure regulator so that injection pump inlet has constant 1-1.5bar pressure. If it's holding pressure on full load also then injection pump has enough fuel delivered.
i´m sorry to correct ,
But a dieselmeken 8 mil will never see enough fuel through the original lift pump, its not able to pump enough to rise pressure in the Main gallery, the other common problema with main gallery pressure is the "bleed relief valve" as u want to call it, the banjo bolt in the return line is rated to 400Mb. The´re very prone to failure. Usually a VE variant can be used and this one hold about 2.5 bar but can easyly modded to 1,5 wich is enough, M pumps for 617 engines use that bolt too , but it is too short to use in EDC, or M RS150 and above. unless u make it fit
And then could be many other issues like filters , ruber lines restricted, tank Vacum, so many variables.
Let me just add that a PESM6 with 150cc at 6k need 162 lts / hr. @ 1.5 bar in the main gallery, as simple it seems its not only the superpump is also the superfeed system that need to be built.
Then there is the external ALDA wich was mentioned earlier, its not uncommom for the system to fail, as member ERX said having it checked (removed ) might be a good idea.
220cc if delivered, without real boost (more than 2bar) will black out your tail so dark that it seems the judgement day is comming.
regards
I’d love to get my hands on this car.
OM606 / 8.00mm DM / HX40(or similar) / decent exhaust/IC set up is 450bhp/3 bar (??1 bar??) set up that will come on boost HARD and with the fuel turned up on a 8mm pump you should be able to black out a sunny day in the summer with a giant turd of black smoke.
Fundamentally you appear to be running out of fuel. I’m running a Holley Black with standard fuel lines for conservative 450bhp (its probably more).
Take the fuel lines off and see how quickly is filling a container up. It literally should be coming out at a rate of knots.
Note that a Holley black is rated at 530lt/hr.
Have you checked that when you have you foot on the floor it is pulling the throttle cable tight against the stop on the pump?
You MUST have full travel.
It should go like this (apologies for the vibration - one of the wheels was buckled)

Hi,
i talked to the OP via Facebook.
We came to the Result that he had no Fuelpressure Regualtor fitted at all.
I think this was the Problem.
OP correct me if i was wrong
