606 superpump fuel routing
606 superpump fuel routing
Hello, I am working on a GWagen 606 conversion. I have the 603 pump with Goran's 7.5mm elements. I would like to use the 606 fuel filter and I can not find information on how to route the fuel lines to the 603 pump/IP. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I think it would be easier to get an earlier banjo-bolt style filter block from a junkyard car. They fit the same mounting bolts and the filter itself is the same.
Reasons:
1) the OM606 o-ring fittings suck, they will leak when you can least afford it
2) the thimble sized pre-filter is not up to the job and is also a frequent site of air leaks.
3) mismatches between the OM606 piping and the OM603 fittings (as you have experienced)
Put a big pre-filter just in front of the tank. There is a ton of space there and, being a low point in the system it will collect any water and algae sucked out of the tank. I used a Racor PS120. Over time I have saved the rest of the system from at least 1/2 cup of disgusting crud.

I believe most of Std pumps using om601/2/3 fuel filter assy and black smoke left behind even with 500+Hp. Should flow enough.
Just go to the store and find a taller filter with the same diameter.
