My 210 TD 606 has 180k miles. New glow plugs starts immediately but smokes very much until warm. Also i notice a slight miss at idle. Good power boost guage will peak 16 psi. What are signs of bad injectors? Where should i send them for rebuild? Can they be modified or upgraded? I have spare injector set from my 124 NA 606 what would you do if you were me?

1998 w210 e300 TD: egr delete, muffler delete, amg 18s, I love this car!
1995 w124 e300 diesel: bolted on junkyard w210 turbo.. yes you can "easily" boost your om606na! RIP
1991 w201: putting the om606 na to turbo into this. Not enough hours in the day!

put the injectors out and do a pop test. Maybe they are worn and have a bad spray pattern. I got a set rebuilt 10000km ago I don't need. I think shipping to USA would bet too much from europe...

U see, this are IDI engine comonly called "compression ignition" engine , more like a boat engine than a car.
This to say that unless one of the injectors is leaking/ peeing the cause of white smoke in cold is very hard related to injector.
White smoke in this engines is caused by low burning temperature , weather it is gasket related or rings or valves or just simple timming.
If i were u, i would clean the injectors and pop test them , rebuild if necessary. Inspect and clean pre chambers. Fine tune timing, and inspect cold start assistance along with EGR system if engine still have it.
Not by this order, a timming adjustment may solve the problem.
Good luck.

Nothing special for nozzles to be shot. These pintle nozzle injectors last about 100 000km before they need at least reset opening pressure but usually they leak and spray bad so rebuild is in order.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ex: 525tds 130kW, C250TD 160kW, E320CDI 200kW, ML400CDI 230kW, A6 R5TDI 130kW
Now: Q7 V8TDI 240kW, 320d 150kW, 335d 210kW

No more egr system i deleted it with info from this forum soldering resistor and diode great mod no check engine light i love it. Anyway, i hear air puffs from the 2 and 5 cylinder. No diesel or oil leaks. They are properly tightened. Car runs great. What could this be.
