I'm wrapping up my OM606 conversion with the DSL-1 controller in my truck.  I upgraded the turbo to a VNT unit (GT2056V) with larger intercooler and it seems quite willing to boost above the programmed 1.5 Bar.  Anyone have any opinion on what boost levels the stock 606.962 with stock 6mm pump might be comfortable with?  I'm told the stock pump along with the DSL-1 can supply on the order of 90-100 microliters of fuel pre stroke.

TIA

Hy john,
I'm no autority in the matter but use to build some pumps...
EDC pump goes 18mm rack in stock form i never exactly measured it by ml but this gives below 90ml. Well pump in stock form. Although is possible to alter the pump untill 110ml i does not worth the assle cause injection time will be to long.
Thats why people use to swap 7.5mm and 8 elements in.

About the turbo , i don't know from each engine it were from, by the name it was from V6 cdi, well that is not the best of turbos for a 606, but it can do the job, and certainly ot will blow past 1.5 easy. But as u know turbo power is directly proportional to fuel injected , and with 90ml u wont go much past 2 bar. I can't say it will hit 2 bar or 1.8 but i can say u can try several targuets and monitor where the engine pull best.

Obrigado Barrote!

Yes- turbo is from V6 cdi. I wanted fast spooling and it certainly does that. I have already hit 1.8 bar easy and this is with the controllers set to 1.5 bar so I believe 2 bar should be doable... I'm just not sure if there is a benefit given the pumps fuel limits?

That u have to figure out by yourself.
I can only say that having 2 bar boost at cost of drive press isn't good.
Try to maintain ratio as close as possible to 1.
