Of all my questionable posts, I am by far most embarrassed by this one...

How do I remove/reconnect this connector?  The end of the EDC pump to w210 chassis connector.

I can't remember if there's a trick to it; it's been long enough that I can't remember; I don't want to break it... yada yada yada

Just plug it in... in the right position, the slide lock may have to be forced or slide open to lock.
Remove by sliding the lock open.
Its questionable , but as everithing in life one need to learn...

As barrote said. The latch can be seen to be free when the slide lock is pushed inwards. Though it can take a pretty firm push/pull to get it together or apart.
