Hi,
My new Projekt is a OM606 with 3.5 Liter for a looong wheelbase G-Wagon (3120mm).
Special billit Pistons and Billit HX35W Turbocharger
Crankshaft from a OM603.971 S350TD
Some machanical work on the boring bar, honing maschine, and the milling maschine and by Hand.
89mm Diameter
Put the old valve Guides out
New guides are assembled, Valveseats are cut (0.1mm then it fits)
Final assembly with fresh painted parts .
TDC
With the CAD Model of the Cylinderhead Gasket, i am very versatile with compression ratio, to level the mechanical work, mybe for a deep milled cylinderhead.
I can cut the Gasket with many differnt materials, different sizes, with a copper rinf for better sealing to the cylinderhead, or to seal better wet cylinderlinders in the OM606 .
Also this engine gets the 9mm elements for better performance, higher efficiency factor and lower amount of Diesel in a 2.7t G Wagon (empty).
When i had run the Motor, im not sure if i can run it over idle, so i dont did it. Very Powerful!

Hi,
Pistons are special made from a little company here in Germany.
They made also Pistons for old engines, where no spareparts are aviable.
The connecting Rods are also special made. The manufacter, i dont now at the Moment, i have to Check it. But i have to do some mechanical work on it, bore the piston pin hole, and hone the bin end.
9mm elements are also special made, from a little company in northern Germany. The grind it from my drawing.
Yes it Sounds a little bit so, but each cylinder fires good.
The engine has to Run in the car, there it is bolt down and nothing can fly away and laying on the ground.
I send a Video when it runs in the car, and the whole assembling oil are gut (-:
Best regards Steffen
Well done. I've always wondered why this combo isn't more popular
Hello,
thanks!
Hm i think not much People want to spend so much Time and Knowhow in this engine, when it runs also with 3.0liter.
So it is not just to bore the Crankcase to 89mm and everything fits.
The parts for one engine are too expensive, so i have parts for two more engines.
Pistons, Connecting Rods, Crankshafts, Headgaskets and so on.
Best regards Steffen
