Hey guys looking for some advice on engine limitations such as max boost for orig map sensor, max safe pressure for Common rail etc
Hope you can help me out.

Cheers Flo

My engine OM613 E320cdi 197hp in a W210 MY 2001, no Upgrades yet since its my first week owning this car.

Standard MAP sensor goes up to 2.8 bar absolute, so the absolute max boost you can run with that sensor while still using electronic turbo control is 1.7 bar.

Rail pressure sensor goes up to 1500 bar so maximum safe pressure on the common rail is about 1450-1470 bar, and the standard pump will or will not handle it depending on the condition of the pump and the condition of the injectors. (The standard pump is just barely big enough for the standard injectors).

As for other limits I haven't found them yet. I have been making about 400hp on my OM612 with 2.5 bar boost with a hybrid turbo for a long time and nothing has given me any trouble. I'd think the 613 can do at least 500hp reliably and probably a lot more.

Thanks for fast answer!!
Will the pump die in a destructive way or just slowly give out.

Also im wondering if the w s switch changes something in the ecu, found 2 code-blocks in my file they are completely identical.
So it could be possible.

The pump just becomes unable to maintain the requested rail pressure when pushed to maximum pressure maximum fuel delivery, not destructive.
