...that stole my stereo, again. Seriously? You break into my car to steal my $30 stereo by savagely ripping it out of the console but nicely unplug everything in the process..and don't bother to take its remote control sitting in the console or the 8gb USB stick full of music attached to the radio's cable or open my glovebox to steal the digital camera, radar detector, monocular or infrared thermometer inside?

I've still got the serial number and receipts so you'd better hope I don't find it at one of the pawn shops tomorrow. Your ass is grass if I ever get hold of you myself, I have zero tolerance for petty thieves let alone stupid ones.

And to top it all off, the lazy bastards at the post office closed 15 minutes early. Angry

I never understand the motivation, except that maybe someone was learning on your car since its older and somewhat easier to get into.

I once had an 88 volvo living in an urban area, (in my ownership it lost 5 walmart radios)

A couple of the thefts were artfully done, small window broken, radio professionally removed. Almost had to appreciate the skill.

The worst one was somebody smashed out BOTH front windows, jammed a crowbar into the climate control system of the vehicle, and rocked it back and forth to widen the center console by about 10 inches. Took me forever to fix that. Worst part is the car already had a pop out plexi window from a previous robbery.

Looks like these SOBs did some serious damage to the center console, I hope they get caught

Like many have said, it would be worth it for them to do it if you could only CATCH them in the act. Oh boy!

Time to hide out and wait with a BIG knife.

Give those assholes a reason to fear going out and trying to steal for their drug dealer. Especially from a Mercedes Owner, let alone forced Tongue

I have a story about the last guy we caught trying to get in my friends car, lets just say we let him have a nice walk through the desert..

(01-19-2010, 11:27 AM)Kozuka Time to hide out and wait with a BIG knife.
Unfortunately, I noticed today they also took the "survival" knife that was next to my seat. It wasn't my good Othello Solingen buffalo-skinner (that one stays at home) or the bowie knife in my 300D but there is some scumbag running around with an 6" knife in his pocket. Hopefully it stabs him in the leg. Big Grin

I've had them pushed back or turned sideways countless times but, amazingly, never has one been stolen! You'd think after 4 years here all the punks would be wearing MB stars around their necks.

Well, the whole thing has been reported to the police and put on file. I don't expect to ever see it again, but there is always the off percentage chance some punk will get pulled over with it in his trunk.

Got my star stolen a couple times back in highschool, but surprisingly not here at uga, and I live pretty close to some government housing. I ended up covering one in some sodium hydroxide solution, letting it evap, and covering it again until it had a pretty thick white coating, and that was the last one that got stolen... Pretty sure it was the same asshole that screwed with me all the time too, just could never prove he did it.

Yea it really sucks! I had my storage unit broken into and they stole $5000.00 worth of tools - funny thing is I was the only unit to be broken into. Me thinks it was an inside job at the storage place. I didn't have serial numbers, but I learned a lesson. I gave the Police a detailed report, that was last year in April and never heard a peep about it.

A few months ago I left my truck door unlocked. It was on a Thursday, day before trashday and I think the scavangers got in to it. They took my HEAVY DUTY jumper cables, a PS2, some brass fittings, a set of keys for tool box and gas caps, and a solar charger. They went through the center console, didn't take any thing. They didn't take my Cobra 200 GTL DX CB/10M or my Kenwood 2M radio or my Kenwood DVD with flip-up screen. If they wanted they could have even found the iPOD with 4000 songs.

They were nice enough to close the door leave a POS USC hat, almost forgot they took my work jacket too. I keep looking for the dumbass to be wearing it.

I have a surprise for himBig Grin
