OM617A Throttle Linkage

I am working on putting my Unimog back together and I have NO idea how the throttle linkage/throttle stop is supposed to look on these engines. All of these parts are missing. At one point this truck had a...what is a nice way to put this..."custom" throttle linkage setup. I just need to get the linkage away from the IP so I can fab up something custom. If anyone had any pictures it would be GREATLY appreciated. THANKS!

If you have a manual transmission, using a cable would be far easier than linkage.

Cable is certainly not a bad idea, not sure why they went with the rube goldberg device that is in there now other than cruise control and EGR/shifting control.
