Spring cutting question... 300TD springs in a 240D how many coils?
Spring cutting question... 300TD springs in a 240D how many coils?
Okay so I'm about to get a turbo wagon front sway bar, along with 300TD front springs from the same junk yard car. If I'm putting the wagon springs in a sedan how many coils would I cut? I was thinking 1-1.5 on the sedan springs, but I don't know if I should cut the same amount on the wagon springs?
Thanks,
Mike
Standard turbo wagon springs are the same as turbo sedans.
Here are some pictures lowered cars.

Thanks for being my FSM, I guess I have been spreading lies...
Interestingly enough the 123 321 26 04 seems to be the lowest stiffest but does not show up in that list?

So I guess I'll just chop 1.25 outta the TD/Dt springs.
Thanks guys.
