Trans without vacuum and linkage questions.
Trans without vacuum and linkage questions.
Hello
Exactly how bad is it to run the 722.3 without the vacuum line connected? It shifts hard without, and I really like it
Can it ruin the trans, or should I just get heavy duty flex discs and run it like this?
Also I have a problem with the linkage. When the shifter is in R, the trans is in P, when the shifter is in N, the trans is in R etcetcetc.
Will I just need a longer linkage? The current one is adjusted to be as long as possible. If it's too short, I'll just have to find another one.
Also I have no kickdown... That's electronically controlled, yes?

You should have a kickdown cable on a 722.3.
I run my trans 722.1 manually (no vacuum, kickdown rod). I still have the electronic kickdown button thats it. If I don't want it to shift instantly I manually shift it if I'm not on the kickdown button.
