I just lucked into this group, seems a collection of people who are not scared of anything.
I am wondering if anybody has some experience/heard of the possibility of installing a 603.960 (3L6Cylturbo1987) into a 1996 E300D sedan.
Is it structurally even possible?

Structurally? Sure. I'd wonder about electronic challenges. Unless you're going to somehow use the 96 injection pump.
