Suggestions for a newbie
I got the cars to run veggie oil and because they are attractive.....
I spoke to my mechanic about removing the rack limiter and increasing the alda and he said a car with 270k could not handle it... I would like to see 400k on my car without a catastrophic loss... I have already rebuilt the tranny on the 85 that I would like to do the work on... Is my mechanic right in being apprehensive on the performance changes... It seems many people here are doing more with more miles....
Next with a 2k budget, what would yall suggest doing for performance, including labor?
Eventually, I will spend more but I do not want to spend more than 2k this year on the car for performance... Include aprox torque and hp increases with your suggestion.... I do not want to spend 2k on a 10 percent increase.... Call me cheap....
And yes I will be running the car on veggie oil, if that matters....

No problems with this engine 380k.
Adjusting the ALDA (you've done everything else right?) is no big deal. Your flexdisks might not be happy about the additional torque but your engine will have no prolbems.
