Broke one of the 2 belts for my alternator today. Any guesses how long the other will last?

larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?
Simpler=Better
09-04-2012, 03:36 PM #2There are 2 on there so that you have a backup when the first one dies. I'd just grab another one, and put it on. Don't want to risk overheating.

The belt to the fan is still good. ANd i have one of those in the trunk too

09-04-2012, 05:45 PM #4If the fan/water pump belt lets loose the coolant will stop circulating, and it will overheat even if you're on the highway
