On my way to CA
On my way to CA
I'm in DIA now, on my way to Santa Barbara. I'll be running across CA for the next week visiting family and seeing the sights. I'll be in San Fran a day or two and I'll be leaving from Portland on the 9th.
I'll update my path as I find out what we have planned. If anyone wants to have a quick meetup, let me know and we'll work something out.
Only a quick stop in Pismo. I saw a really nice navy blue 240D on the 101 to Morro Bay. We are staying the night in Morro Bay and heading to Cambria for the day.
6/2-3: bakersfield
4: monterey
5: san francisco
6: ft. Bragg
7: grants pass, or
8: crater lake
9: portland
Lots of fun ahead!

(06-01-2009, 09:45 PM)DeliveryValve Zoo? Not much of a Zoo here. I think you'll have more fun visiting the PNPs on Union Ave. I got a 115 MPH speedo as a welcoming gift for your 3.46 (might have to fix the odo though..) I'll shoot you my number, got to leave in the morning.

The trip was a blast!
First the MBs.
There was a very nice 240D traveling the 101.
In Morro Bay I spotted this cherry W115 300D.
This E300 in Lindsay.
300TD in Santa Cruz.
W115 in Klamath.
Sorry about Bakersfield Richard, the whole time there turned into a bit of a clusterfuck thanks to the craptastic Nissan Altima mom rented for the day while dad took the Rav4 to meet his buddies.
San Francisco was awesome, even though we were only there a fraction of the time I had hoped. We just happened to get there on the anniversary of D-Day so the SS Jeremiah O'Brien had a special event with a bunch of cool WWII veterans and the giant 2,500hp triple expansion steam engine was in operation.
Yes, thats a person on the other side of the engine.
It was only running at 16rpm but it was amazing even at that speed, I'd love to see it at its rated 76rpm!

Thats what I'm doing tomorrow. There are 5 pick-n-pulls around here I haven't been to in almost a month. I'm hoping the fanfare horns on that euro 380SEL are still there too.
