190d N/a to Superturbo?
190d N/a to Superturbo?
Just picked up an 87 190d non turbo 5 speed w 136,000 miles. Wondering what the main difference is from the turbo injection pump and engine? Can i put a turbo manifold on it and 7mm elements in the pump? its OM602? just wondering. waste of time or not.
(10-02-2012, 09:52 PM)aaa How much power do you want? Obviously the NA can't be taken as far as a originally-turbo engine. I would guess 250hp, course you won't know what the limit is exactly til something breaks.

will 7mm elements go into non turbo pump? i assume do that and a big turbo.
Sounds good. so i eventually will get 7mm elements put in the pump, buy a turbo manifold and hx35/40. some fabricating and see what happens.
Hx35/40 is to big. Max hy35
Will the stock turbo manifold fit an hx35 turbo, or is the t3 flange position only allow stock size turbo?
(11-01-2012, 07:52 AM)aaa The stock turbo 2.5 manifold is a T25. T3 allows holsets etc.
Here's winmutt's T3-T25 adapter, you'd need the opposite:

still deciding to make my 190d a big power turbo..... What is the best way to do the injection pump?? send to Sweden to dieselmeken??? so prettymuch 7.5mm pump big turbo intercooler and better clutch and id be good for about 300hp?? Thanks again
I figure it should handle it for a little while, its only got 140,000 miles, and if i dont beat it all the time, if it last 10,000 miles id be happy.
I dont keep vehicles too long before i get board of them
