No, its way more fun to pull over unsuspecting friends with the cop style spotlights.

Well, i ditched the flowmaster for a 3" muffler eliminator tailpipe, and that definately made a performance difference. Much better throttle response, more torque, and seems happier at high rpm as well. Things that make you go hmmm... Also, interior decible level has gone down and doesn't drone as it did before. Now it sounds a lot more like a cummins and really confuses people.

Hokay, turns out theres a monthly RallyX gathering less than a half hour away from me, so it's time to get my car ready for competition.

First order of business, was to continue in my weight removal quest. I've pulled pounds of wire harnesses, vaccum lines, and just general crud that really doesn't need to be there for the car to drive legally (for the most part teehee). One of the last things that had to go was the HVAC unit, inside the bowels of the dash.

Im going to make this disappear:

Ta-da!

I want this car to be under 3k lbs, but it still has to function as a daily driver. Door panels, back seat, and spare can be removed prior to competition, but a stereo cannot be, so the most viable option would be a light, but simple stereo. Battery will be relocated to trunk, the 20 gal fuel tank will be removed from between the back seats and trunk, a 10-15 gal tank will be in the spare tire well.

Next, the 4 speed manual swap MUST happen before I can even actually drive this car. I can poop around in this car if I had to, but the trans grows weaker every day. The good news is, the manual only weighs significantly less than an entire automatic system does because of the lack of extra fluid, pumps, coolers, lines, and torque converter.

Suspension will be priority after trans. Stock suspension is around 9 inches of wheel travel for hitting potholes at autobahn speed without feeling a thing. The whole car has raised a few inches front and rear now that lots of weight has been removed and it has a good stance as it sits. I would like to have eibachs on adjustable coilover shocks someday and I need to pull a 17mm rear swaybar from a 126 to replace my wimpy 13mm, but other than that, suspension geometry will not change much.

Engine performance will be after all of the above, since its far ahead of everything else on the car, but the next motor will have a Holset VGT, intercooler, lots of pump voodoo, cummins parts, head/intake massaging, nitrous, propane, anything to get this tank over 200whp.

Now, to get crackin!

Kamel, i consder your car a total inspiration!
That video of you jumping your car was INSANE!!
Was that a one time deal? Have you jumped it any other times besides that?
Any parts break from it?

Also, are you and your car involved in rallyx??
