If you want a low mileage un-molested 300D that puts you back to 1985, my car might be worth looking at.
bills including college tuition are piling up and i have to find the Benz a new home.
its super clean and has always been garaged by me and the PO.
i have had it about 5 years and drove it less than 10K miles. i never drove it in ANY SALT ie winter and not much rain either.
it spent 1+ years waiting for me to have its transmission professionally rebuilt and i had the torque converter done as well [ both are the original ones not from another donor car ] and now its like new again.
What i've done to it:
4 bilstein shocks
transmission / torque converter
new rear tires
2k miles between O&F changes
valve adjustment
fuel lines
a/c service
air cleaner
fuel filter
the PO did:
all the brakes 4 new rotors and pads
water pump
coolant expansion tank
cruise is the only thing that need fixing
the PO went almost every sunday [ LOL NO JOKE!!! and it was after church. this is what her nephew told me, im not making this up her name was Doris ] to the car wash. which is why together with the added factory undercoating its in excellent shape.
HOWEVER the paint is worn on the sides from the bristles. it shows up more in direct sunlight as dull swirls. i dont know if it can be compounded out, it never bothered me much. the finish on the bundts suffered as well.
$12,800
call me if you have ?'s 973-three00-599eight
i'll be putting photos of the exterior in a few days
