Here's the basic CL ad --

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/cto/3725539122.html

Supplemental info:

I ordered a couple new fan belts which should be in next week. This sucker eats 'em pretty regular.

The essential safety issues -- brakes, suspension, vacuum pump -- have been fixed.

It makes a tapping noise when cold. Adjusted the valves and ran a couple cans of diesel purge, which helped for a while. I suspect an engine teardown will be needed.

Reason:

New job with long commute (live near ATL airport, work in Roswell) means I need a new DD. Benz is lowest on my fleet depth chart, so it's going.

Will jump back in once my fleet re-organizes, probably with a 300, though they seem to be fetching crazy prices now. A good mechanical injection diesel should be part of every prepper's motor pool.

It served my stepson well as a training vehicle, and I wanted to give the STD readers a heads-up before I just trade it in on my next purchase.

Diesel:
79 240D -- auto

Gas/Petrol/Benzin:
02 RAV4 -- daily driver
94 Jetta -- obsolete for 24 HOL -- heading back to the street
85 K5 Blazer -- 377 SBC, 144ci huffer
68 GTO -- slowly rusting in garage
