Anyone got links to where a 617's water pump is? Is it down in by the crank?
I seen something wobbling down there in my car and I sure hope it wasnt the crank wobbling.

Nice body, tons of ridiculous mechanical issues - 300d turbo 82' /motor 85'

Ok not the water pump, not the crank but kinda the crank. I tried to take a video but it was useless, too tight of a space.
The crank pulley and harmonic balancer are turning nice and smooth.
There is something maybe a seal? behind the harmonic balancer that's wobbly looking.

hmm, time bomb

Time bomb with a short fuse. Rent a puller and get in there

Best case, it's the pulley on the balancer coming apart. worst case it's backed out and chewed up the pressed pins

larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?

I will keep ya'll posted but I think it is just the seal and grease/dirt wobbling around. I think I try some oil addative to treat seals. Swell it up a bit maybe
