Hi all, I am planning to do a swap from 603NA to OM606.
I will have a 603 NA IP and also have a 602/662turbo IP. Is it possible to change the ALDO between the IP's? i.e. I want to replace the one on the NA IP with the one from the turbo IP.

I hope I have my description right. Im talking about the can with the nut (10mm) on top. see picture taken from nother thread.

Hmm, no answers yet.

Attached is a picture of the BOSCH OM662 IP. Maybe it is clearer to see what I want to swap or have swapped. I think it should be possible but just want to confirm.
I want to use a mechanical 603 IP but it is from a NA motor.
It will get the 6mm elements from the OM606 pump.

Why do you want to do that? I am not sure but I suspect it will not increase the NA 603 pump's fuel output. It does look like it will fit just fine though.

I also think it should fit.
As I want to do a conversion from a 603NA - 606 I need the 603 mech. IP but that does not have the ALDA of the turbo motor so I want to use the one I have to make the 603 IP a 603Turbo IP together with the 6mm elements from the 606 IP. I won't be doing this myself but will be going to someone that has the ability. I just want to prepare myself with everything I need before my vehicle is on trestles and not moving because I am missing bits to complete the conversion.

I thought the alda was to hold back fuel until boost kicks in? And has nothing to do at idle.

It limits fuel until it see's boost mostly so it wont smoke at idle. Its mostly an emissions device

Will smoke at idle...I would accept that but, I also thought it would prevent smoking at pull off, don't really want to make a huge cloud of smoke when pulling away every time.

So if it can be prevented by swapping out the ALDA of the two pumps then I'm happy.Big Grin

Anyone know how tight these things sit. I have been trying to get it of but damn it sits tight. Don't want to break anything.

Just go to town on it with the right tools - that would be two open ended wrenches, the top wrench needs to be a slim one though. I'm not used to the nipple being on the bottom part of it though so try not to break that.
