I have my '83 300D turbo, and I'm wanting to go straight pipe. Any reasons I shouldn't?? What are the minimum back pressure requirements?? Thanks!

No back pressure required. Plus any back pressure will be pre turbo, so straight pipe away!

Mines been straight piped for more than 2 years and I love it still!

It sounds awesome, but can potentially resonate or be droney while cruising. Add a hemholtz tube to get rid of any drone.

larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?

If you have the stock merc exhaust(which is straight through) you shouldn't see any difference. My car had a generic $30 reverse-flow crappy muffler on it, so I saw some kind of improvement

I never drove mine with any mufflers or even the stock exhaust so I wouldn't be able to compare mileage :p

Maybe 1mpg but probably not if you already had a stock system
