w210 16x7.5 on w123 with gen2 w126 brakes?
heres a link to the ones im lookin at, http://spokane.craigslist.org/pts/4865771041.html. does anybody know if these will clear my steering link? if all the info i got is right(41 offset for 210 and 30 for stock 14x6's) then it'll be very close. it should just clear the top of the spindle, but it wont clear the steering unless its a diff offset(only got like 1/2 inch need almost 1.25) or the 16's are enough to go on the outside of it.
really hope these fit as mercedes or audi wheels are hard to find in my pull yard's. I found 1 last time i was there, and I didn't even buy it. I'm at the point where its sketchy to drive the old girl cuz of my ball joints, just hoping to upgrade the brakes at the same time. I'm glad its a stick though otherwise it'd be scary drivin round here with those pathetic stock brakes. 240d with none cooled front to many hills i know i can fade my brakes on if i use em.
I don't think they fit without spacers... The rear trailing arm is also pretty close. To get the inner edge ofthe wheel anywhere to hwere the stock wheel sits you'd require 20mm spacers - resp. a ET around 20.
Have a look/play here: http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?wid...te#content
VW/Audo wheels ahve too smal a center bore; 57mm, MB has 66.Xmm... I would love a set of Phaeton winter alloys on my C124, but it's not going to happen (legally)
if you want 16" i found a set of 16" Mb wheels with et33 7.5 inch wide, testfitted and they came on nice, dont want to sell, but might be worth knowing there are options.
also got a set of r129 rims 16" and 8 inch wide et35 i think, hope they will sitt nice at the rear atleast
