mod an OM602 NA
Dear mate, I am newbie to MB diesel and happen to buy a W124 2.5D..
I have a 89 pajero 4D56T diesel and not really a MB.
It looks totally different comparing the 4D56T...MB looks more engineering works and hard to service..
Could I source a turbo maniford(don't want to fab) from turbo om602 and direct bolt on?
Any idea to make it runs less doggy?
I had considered turboing my old N/A 190 (same engine) for a while but then i learned that there is better piston cooling, I believe better oil cooling(?), and other differences that make the turbo version better for having a turbo on. You could do it(i can sell you the manifolds, intake and exhaust) if you want to )but i think your best bet is to find a turbo motor to tweak.
Yes, the non-turbo engine isn't built as strong or with the cooling capacity needed for a turbo. You can bolt on a turbo system and turn up the fuel for more power, but the life expectancy will be shorter.
Power or longevity, with a non-turbo engine you must pick one.
meareweird PM sent for the parts, would like to know how much you charging for those parts.
sorry for the delay i have been away from the forums for a bit, messages replied to.
