Hey everyone.i have plans in fitting an 240D om616 into a W126 280 se.the thing is I have seen people fitted this engine into a W108 and into a W116.i am not looking for speed I am just looking for a good reliability and to add on the final drive ratio is on the 126 280 is 3.46 well as the 240 is 3.69 and i can only guess the pickup accleration is gonna be slow but once up to speed is gonna be good crusier from what I see

if anyone can put their info it would be of great help and yes I know I could put a om617 but there are super hard and rare to find in my region

It will fit fine. The mount arms may need to be custom as there is nothing that will crossover since the S-class never uses 4 cylinder engines. At the least you'll need a modified driveshaft.
