EGT probe - cjcosta - 05-25-2011 Hi everyone, Can a EGT probe be mounted at the manifold EGR exit? I am affraid to drill and tap the exaust manifold and this solution can be a much easier. I understand that you just want to use the hole of the EGR exit without the tube to the intake. Tom RE: EGT probe - winmutt - 05-25-2011 I dont think it will be far enough in the flow there. I have to drill and tap one myself as my euro manifold does not have a test port like the federal does. RE: EGT probe - mr_manny - 05-25-2011 for 85 owners (or motors that came with additional smog devices)...another option is a plug at the far left of the exhaust manifold. plug was removed, and tapped for EGT probe threads.
