You can get om603 mount arms for w126.

E300tdi Do you mean 300TD? the one from a W210?

It will bolt directly to a manual box but there are many other considerations.

250TD gearbox and flywheel will bolt straight up to the 606 however...

Your thoughts on injection pump control? As standard the 606.962 TD engine has an electronic pump and wont work without the donor canbus circuit and all it's associated gubbins, (which in turn wont appreciate not having the .6 gearbox ECU to 'talk' to). So, you will need a manual pump from a W124 300D with a 6mm element swap and the stand-alone ALDA from Dieselmeken.

Your W124 mounts should swap.

The engine supports, or motor mount arms used in the 603 equipped 126's is PT# 6032230604 and 6032230704. The 603 equipped w124's do not share the same part # for the motor mount arms.

SO IF I USE THE MOTOR MOUNTS FROM THE M103 3L PETROL ENGINE ON THE DIESEL 606 ENGINE THIS SHOULD WORK?

No, sorry I got a bit confused. W124 motor mounts are not the same as W126 mounts.

I KNOW A C250 GEARBOX WILL FIT A OM606 ENGINE BUT WHAT MOUNTS DO I NEED TO SIT A OM606 IN TO A W126??????????????

I PLAN TO PUT A MECHANICAL PUMP ON TO THE ENGINE SO WIREING IS NOT REALLY MY PROBLEM MAKEING SURE I CAN GET A OM606 ENGINE TO SIT IN TO A W126 IS MY PROBLEM BEFORE I PULL A NICE CAR APART

RE: w126 300se om606 24v conversion help???? - aaa - 03-17-2013

I would try the petrol m103 arms first, from the 300se. If those don't work then find om603 w126 arms from a 300sdl. Also there should be two extra boltholes in the block for 126 mount arms, might need to run a tap thru them since crud gets in with them being unused in the w124.

Putting things up in uppercase followed by !!!!!!!! isn't going to get you an answer any quicker. Please don't 'shout'. Confused

If there are standard Merc arms that will suit the only ones are likely to be the ones from a W124 300D which shares the same angled block to your engine. This hinges on the crossmembers and engine rubber mounts of a 124 and 126 being the same. The diesel engines that were (only) fitted to the US spec 126 all have upright blocks (afaik) so it's unlikely the arms from them would work.

I have a 606 fitted in a 107 and there is no way any standard Merc arm would fit simply because the 107 crossmember is so different. I wedged the engine into it's final resting place and made my own arms from mild steel. Not too difficult if you have a welder.

Both the m103 and om603 were angled engines fitted to the w126. The om617 was the upright one.

Ah, Ok ta. We dont have diesel 126's in the UK so these are all new to me. Blush

However, are you certain about the M103 being angled? Not in a Euro 107, 124 or 126 it's not.

Get some one in the states to send you a pair of 300sdl or 350sdl w126 om603 motor mount arms they should be a direct bolt on it's a 3L inline six turbo diesel and shares the same block as the 0m606

I am currently putting an om606 in to a 1987 w126 300sdl

But try the 300se motor mount arms first they might work!

RE: w126 300se om606 24v conversion help???? - hannes_s - 03-18-2013

Your current W126 has M103 engine?
On W124 both M103 and OM603 and OM606 (N/A)- all R6 engines have same engin mount arms. So if your W126 has M103 on it than you have to use your own carĀ“s engine mount arms.

On W201 and W124 all R4 and R5 engines also have same engin mount arms. Yes some of them have special connections for special things like fuil heat exchanger attachement (OM601 and OM602).
