Hey Guys,

I just got another Mercedes diesel OM617! Well the mom mobile.. She likes the W123 wagon Big Grin

So we picked it up and brought it home so I could take a good look at it.

Started to do a valve adjustment and the intake on number 1 just wouldn't go down.. I did the rest of them but this is definatly not a good thing any ideas what would cause this. I rotated it clockwise a bunch of times but I just couldn't seem to get it to give me any clearance.. The hex head seems stripped at one side or something on the lock nut so it makes it a real pain to turn. I might have another go at it and see but I litraly was on that thing for at least 4 hours. Which seems abit extreme and it just didn't seem to move. Just span round and round it would get slack and I would take it up with the adjusting nut. The valves on this thing seemed like they hadn't been adjusted in awhile (tight).

Thanks,
Kozuka.

Is the whole valve turning? You may need to hold the collar.
