So I finally got around to installing the China 315 injectors that I have had sitting on a shelf for over a year now..

The fueling is defiantly different, I have not touched the governor and the idle governor is set very strong which causes the engine to lope or hunt just off idle. The new injectors are delivering a little more fuel and puts the idle right in that lopeing range.. Additionally I can hear one lung rattling on the low end / low speed in 1st gear..

No smoke and once above 2K sounds and runs fine. I did not have the time to mess with the timing or correct the governor, so I put the old injectors back in. I can still hear a slight rattle just off idle in first gear, so the new injectors just amplified it..

I am going to send them back to Grezzer to have him pop test them to see if setting on the shelf for a year made them sticky or if the pattern went to hell. If they check out good, then I will try them again with modified PCs and new delivery valves. I suspect the DVs are causing the rattle I am hearing..

#314 or #315 ??? Any difference ? Or just a typo ? Has anybody tried DN0SD314 nozzles on a non turbo OM617?

No typo... I am talking about the 315 nozzles..

From my understanding the 314 nozzles are basically 265 nozzles with a diffuser angle to help quite the combustion and reduce emissions..

I think my DVs are shot and they are causing some of the issues. The more I listen to the engine run with the original injectors, the more I think the china nozzles were working fine, but the system was not.

I just don't have much free time, and when I do I really don't feel like messing with my driver lol.. I still have a pump machine to build along with some 10mm MW pumps!!

Story of my life! I still have a cooling system to finish so I can run my air/water intercooler. Money and Time can never have enough of both. Can say though, OM616, with your help with the prechambers, my setup is still runnning strong, although my trans is not! haha!
