Looking to get rid of this CAN system and run a vacuum actuator on my HE351VE turbo. Anyone got one they want to sell of there turbo or does anyone know a website to buy vacuum actuators?

Can't just use a pneumatic actuator but with vac? With other end open to atmospheric to provide potential difference across the piston?

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.
[i]Less rust..

I dont think you can. I think the plunger is bottomed out plus it would be pulling the wrong way then.

Use double acting ones?

Why vacuum? Just use a pressure wastegate actuator. Tapped off the pressure side of the turbo.

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=turbo+...RA&dpr=1.5

Converted the vacuum system on a 606 to pressure and it works great.
